Wondering why you haven't got an answer? Do you expect people to be able to use far seeing to work out which one it is, and then to know what it does?

Sorry bout that.....
Well I will try a describe it for the moment. The pad that came off was "I" so we soldered directly on to the IC leg that was connected directly to the trace.

Everything spins and even sounds like it is loading. There is no audio or video. We took out the chip and the problem is still there. I was looking to find out if this is even fixable. We have installed the 2 other matrix chips on older playstation 2 WITH success. This slim one seems to be more difficult. If there is any more information I can give please let me know and I will get it for you. I would really like to get this up and running.
