Burning mdf format of dc games

I tried burning a mdf format using Alcohol 120%, but the cd didnt work on my dc. I know how to burn cdi's, but is there something I should do when burning mdf's?

This might help me also.
I'm having problems burning mdf files with Daemon Tools.
They don't work.
So I'm guessing there's some kind of setting that needs to be put on?
