Not in the way you think. There are 2 ways, you can piggyback just about any dvd-rom, but forget about reading originals or you can modify a samsung 616t or one of the LG drives. Can't remember which. Both are more expensive than an original replacement xbox drive. Look on llamma for guides how to do this.

if you softmod, you can play burned games, and have almost all the features of a modchip.

I'm finding it hard to understand where this is going.. If anybody can be bothered trawling through the dvd repair forums at llamma there is a post by me from last summer which goes into great detail how to replace an xbox dvd drive with either a samsung 616 or some LG drive...

What otherwise is the point of continuing to post replies getting deeper and deeper with someone who shouts, demands, and is virtually unreadable. Indeed it bumps up post counts.. but apart from the drive replacement it is the most pointless duplication there can be, with somebody who appears of such low intelligence that I doubt they could even open up an xbox, let alone manage to mod it.

I suggest 5 minutes looking at the stickies instead of posting any more drivel...

bad attitude in the console forums? Hell yes.. I'm one of the people pushing for a cull of the pointless repetitive threads.
