game save + arcade game question

im going 2 replace my xbox360 with a newer pre-flashed one and have a question - if i want to keep my save games and live arcade games do i need to keep the hard drive when i sell the console? thanks
Currently on my 7th PS3 and 4th Xbox, gotta love technology.. |

for game saves yes, for arcade games, no they are saved to your xbox live account, and are you selling your 360 locally or on ebay or what?

you won't be able to play the Arcade games without being signed into live.
just a heads up, they're tied to the original console it was downloaded on, not the hard drive.

they arent saved to a console, the downloads are based on points, and whatever you downloaded from your live account (where the points are stored) you can easily download again if you delete them, i learned from having to swap consoles at gamestop

so what u are saying here is that i can download the games again if i still have the 25 digit code?

mike, the xbox live games you download are console tied, that's why when u get a replacement console, u can't play the Arcade games you downloaded previously Without being logged into Live. Even if u re-download them, you can still only access them when logged into Live.
the information that you downloaded them is stored w/ your gamertag and all that, and that totally isn't what i was refering to, just the fact the games aren't playable w/o being signed into live.
ask M$ they're working on this issue...and it's been published in OXM and EGM.
