i know this has been discussed but in different forms just want to know if this idea is best all round or not ?
short on space want one screen for
tv (only digital,cable)
pc
xbox 360
now is there a good single source that will give me good results on all or does one or the other have to suffer ?
thinking of getting a 26" or 32" lcd HD ready tv with pc input
will this give me good results on all three formats ie pc as good as my crt monitor ?

yes.. i have a 27" lcd.. and i use it for tv pc and video games.. it works great.. has dvi and vga.. dvi is best tho.. lol

well for me i would go VGA for both the PC and 360 on the TV
any any old TV will be fine for digital cable but for your best picture using VGA or any components that you run through component cables (blue,red,& green video with red & white audio) rather then the old composite (red & wite with yellow video) an HDTV or DLP TV is your best bet.
Most TV's only have one VGA cable so you would have to switch back and forth between the PC and 360 unless you bought a TV with DVI inputs and the PC had DVI or you got a VGA to DVI converter.

I have too many components on my TV to list but it is a Samsung 56" DLP TV and the 360 picture through VGA is great.

Yes mine is an HD model.. it is a westinghouse.. i am not positive the model number.. i am at work right now.. but it is a great tv.. i am happy with it.. and it was only like $450 a year ago..
