What speed should i use to burn Verbatim 16x DVD-R?

start out at 4X and see if that works, if not move to 6X and if no luck then 8X
Personally all the 16X i have done (which isn't many because i prefer 8X) i have done at 4X and they work.

scan you 4x and 8x burns. the 4x will have more errors and pif. burn at 8 or 12x

Ive heard that if you burn 16x dvd's to slow (below 8x) then you will get problems when playing the game, is this true?

yes, it is true. 4X was the prefered burning speed for 8X DVD's
1X was prefered back when people use 4X DVD's
now with 16X being about all people can find in retail stores people have problems. That is why i do not buy them retail so i can still get Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R

true. but then the burners sucked ass compared to today's burners. so yesterday's rules don't apply to today. ie burn 8x discs at 8x, 4x discs at 4x and 16x at 12x or 8x depending on media
