I did read the manual, but now I'm stuck. I got mod chip in place, no problem. I downloaded and burned the ToxicOS to a CD (using Nero, slow burn speed). The DMS manual doesn't mention anything about what happens when you boot up for the first time. My PS2 boots fine and plays regular games fine. I can't see where the modchip has been installed - No spalsh screens, no nothing (pressing the square, L1, or select). I tried booting with the CD I made with ToxicOS on it, but I just get to the red "you need to use a PS or PS2 disc" screen.
I feel I'm probably missing a step (or three) - can someone tell me what I need to do to a) activate the chip and b) load the ToxicOS into the BIOS?
I'm assuming at this point that a hard drive is optional, right? I just want to play backups. No fancy stuff.
