here's the deal.i just bought my psp and i don't have much time b4 i leave on atrip and i wanna ask this:do i have to charge it if i already have a charged batt?and if i have to charge it w its new batt for how long?(there is a long time since i last charged a psp for the 1st time :P)

ummm no i think the battery already has a 100% charge when you take it out of the package.

no the battery has less than 20% charge when take out for the first time. A good deep charge could take 2-4 hours depending on certain circumstances.

or sometimes they say leave them charging for 8hrs. depends what the packaging says, but they don't sell them charged fully, as it would deplete the Li-Ion battery life.
