I lost the channels..!

hey guys

i turned ma dbox on 2day hoping to catch the manu/liverpool game, i turn the dbox on an i have o sky sports channels only a few basic channels, after trying to restart it again and again i lost my patience and decided to try to scan for some new channels or do something to try to fix the problem.

after a few long minutes of trying to scan, after the scan was successful, i rebooted and once it turned on I LOST THE CHANNELS.

ive tried to bring them back but no luck what so ever, ive got no channels now, ive called the guy who normally deals wth my box but he's being a bit sly so im having to resolve in DIY.

what and how can i bring my channels back and what bits of info do i need to get for you guys so you can identify what needs to be done?

ie, the software and model numbers...
