Image burn or xbox backup creator

I seem to be having some issues writting image when using xbox backup creator more than when I use Image burn.
I have lite-in DL writter, Samsung SHD-162C reader with Keron .81 firmware.
I know I can only use xbox creator to read but should be able to use this plus image brurn for writing but as mentioned xbox creator stops repsonding, or will freeze few seconds after I press start.
I seem to to better with Image burn.

As for changing book type on Image burn, is this something you need to set each & everytime before burning starts or just once & good for all future backups.

After said & done which is better to use for burning/writing.

I'd pick DVD Decrypter over IMGBurn and Clone CD over Xbox Backup Creator. But out of the 2 you want to use, use IMGBurn and manually set the layerbreak.
