Should i burn at a slower speed, or just use the maximum? and does using a deep analysis and a quality setting make a difference?

Depends on what brand of dvds u r using?
the rule of thumb is burn half of what the top rated speed is.

Yes, it makes a big difference.
For the best quality picture DVD-rebuilder is the best, if u don't mind how long it takes.

DVD Rebuilder is a macro that uses supported encoders to do a backup. Encoders do a better job than transcoders (Shrink, CloneDVD , and DVDCopy 5 are transcoders), but encoders usually take longer. If you want better quality at higher compression, then you might want to check Rebuilder out.

RipIt4Me is a good decryption software, but hardly relevant to the topic. I use it to rip and then use the files in DVD Rebuilder.
