Hey there,

I've been after some Video Capture hardware for awhile now, idealy for capturing footage from a TV. I was planning on recording some Video Game footage, from such consoles as the 360 and Wii to use and edit in After Effects and stuff. I'm completly baffled with what to buy, I don't mind paying the money it's just I don't want to end up buying something that is completly useless to me again (it's happend too many times in the past.)

Looking at my computer, I've a couple of PCI slots free. I'm not very good on the technical hardware side of computers, which is another reason I am weary for what I buy. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I need to be buying, and any specific Cards recommended to suit what i'm aiming to achieve. I'm in the UK too, so it's mainly European stuff i'm after.

As I say, I've taken a look around such sites as Ebuyer and Overclockers but have no idea what I should buy, it's too bigger risk.
