DVD Burning problems with Liteon LH-20A1H

I just recently purchased a new liton drive; LH-20A1H and have problems copying my dvd's. I cannot burn anythink faster than 8x. I replaced a Benq Drive 1655 with this liteon. I had no problems burning with the benq drive. I am using ritek, verbatim, princo, prodisc. All these burn perfectly with the benq. What could be the problem
