i am at a total loss when it comes to this. Even when looking at the other guides, i get confused. I want to know how, with the newfirmware, i can successfully back up games directly on the hard drive. Also, i would like to know which OS to use, as i was looking at yellow dog linux 5.0, but i dont know if that will work, as well as if i will be able to play the games directly from the hard drive. I have tried to figure it out, but alas, i have failed. So i am asking you, please help me with this.

Get a program called SAK(swiss army knife), it will backup ur games great.

It backups games to your ps3 HDD (INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL).

SAK simply allows you to back up your games. It can't LOAD them. But hey, that's a nice way to get ready for the future when an .iso loader DOES come out.
