ok im playing a backup of Tales Of Destiny Remake for ps2. i have a 55' HDTV (sony grand wega) and i use swap magic 3.6. i boot the game after two tries(after it said not a ps2 disk i pressed it X agian and it booted) and it played fine. the next time i tried to play it, the game took a very long time to load and the music was behind by a couple of secounds. but when i tried it on my regular TV, it keeps working fine. i thought i got lucky but it just keeps loading perfectly. what the hell am i supposed to do?
I believe the game isn't supported by your HDTV. Also, from what I've seen and can speculate, perhaps your HDTV isn't quite compatible in viewing movies, games and etc from different regions except the region-coded things you have bought. Your regular TV, from what you have said, it seems your reg TV supports or has the ability to view the video format the game runs on compared to your HDTV. You can try configuring settings on your HDTV though I doubt that might help. Someone should have a better clarification then me but from what I have said, it's only from mere experience.
EDITED: On second thought, it could be the burnt game. Maybe it's coincidence you happen to play the game so many times perfectly on your reg. TV then your HDTV; but from what you said about the audio too, I say it is most likely your TV. As far as certainty goes, I say 90% it is your TV in fact, and not your burnt game, unless it's burnt on a particularly bad media or poorly burnt, iono.
