Hi guys, I'm not new to DVD Shrink, been using it for at least a year now. However, I just built a new computer, and I'm having problems with the DVD-ROM drive.

I can play a DVD just fine. However, when I try and open it in DVD Shrink to back it up, I get the following:

Failed to read file "D:\"

The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

I am however able to use my DVD-RAM drive, and backup a movie.

My DVD-ROM is a Sony DDU1615 GYS4. I have tried to find drivers for it, but can only find driver's for a DDU1615 FYS2 or FYS3 (which don't detect my device). I've searched on this site for DDU1615 I/O error, and found nothing.

Can anyone help me out? Thank you.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Well, it offers some insight, however my I/O error happens as soon as I hit "Open Disc", not "Backup" =\
