Ritek DVD+R, Pioneer 106 and Sony DW-U10a incompatability

Hi all.

I have had problems with the following media:

Traxdata 2.4 x DVD+R
Bulpaq 2.4 x DVD+R
Arita 4 x DVD+R

These discs are all manufactured by RITEK. Using the Pioneer 106 and the Sony DW-U10A, the discs burn fine but cannot be read afterwards. I am not using simulation. My software is VOB Instant CD/DVD v6.5. I have had a lot of experience with DVD-R but have only succesfully written a Datawrite DVD+R up until now. Has anybody else experienced these problems? Does anybody have a solution as I am loathe to trash 50 blank discs?

This is my first post. I have found these forums very useful for months and am spreading the word.

Got a Pioneer 106 myself & have written both +R & -R Ritek media to it successfully using Nero5 & Recordnow Max V4.5. You could try using either of these burning software to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for info. Downloaded the 30 day trial Record Now Max. It works perfectly.

Yeah - it is very good. I recommend the Veritas one with deluxe 4.50. Check out the user guide ion my signature for it.
