Ok i started a petition for microsoft to create a xbox harddrive at 80gb that cost a nice amount.
If you would like this to see a 80gb harddrive for the xbox 360 in shops, sign this and tell all xbox 360 lovers to do the same.
Maybe we might get lucky if we get 10,000+ people and send it to Microsoft.

Heres the link.

Also discuss how we can spread the word?.
One idea email all your msn contacts and ask them to sign it and forward the email to theres and so on.
Tell people at your school/college etc.
May ask a game store near you to ask people to sign it.

These are a few ideas.

seeing as more than 10,000,000 consoles have been sold, its going to take a lot more than 10,000 signatures and even still, word on the street is there is going to be at least a 100 gig on the new console, if that happens

yee, rumors are already flying around about future consoles.
I have seen articles about a black 360
about a 360 with a much larger hard drive
a 360 with the addition of HDMI output
and so on.

I was unable to get on my pc the other day, lack of time.
anyways just to make sure if we sign this maybe we get some luck

If you have an xbox 360 and wish to store movies and music as well as your game saves without hitting the 20gb harddrive limit it's time to sign this.
If we can get 10,000+ signs maybe sony will create this 80gb hard drive at a nice price.

Lets get signing.
thats what it says on the site, xbox isnt made by sony, and i dont think microsoft is going to take to kindly to it either...

lets say u get your wish and M$ do make a 80gb hard drive, think how expensive it will be! the standard 20gb hdd costs £60 to buy new over here in England so think how much an 80gb one would cost - it just wouldnt be worth it

The 20gb is clearly a ripoff, a 100gb 2.5" HD costs $100 in stores now.

why a petition for 80gb, that's too small.

I seem to recall there is a trick to use a larger drive... Some way that you can copy a partition over to a new, larger drive; and it would work. I haven't done it myself, but I know I've seen a way.

Sorry brother I live in the UK, and it aint over here!

As for the 20Gb thing, its a shame that you cant just undo the HD case and pop your own SATA drive in there. If there was a way to get the info the Xbox360 HD needs onto a third party one, then the world would be your oyster.
If there is a way to do this around these parts I would appreciate the link.

you can do it, just open it and get a 2.5" sata hard drive and format it based off whats on the 360 drive and you can use it

All you have to do is get a SATA to USB converter plug thing, format the drive you're going to use into FAT32 and that's it.

you have a much better chance that the mod gods will figure out how to use bigger hard drives with it then anything. Look at all the things they did with the regular Xbox. Just wait, and over time many more things will be possible. Until yo can actually store and play your games from it like the regular Xbox a larger hard drive doesn't even interest me.
