Want to mod my Xbox360 but I dont know anything! Plz Help!

Hi, I got a xbox360 and I want to mod it so it can play backups. I know about firmware flashing (I know the basics of that). I know about this NME-360 modchip. I need to know basicly what drive i have. This is a pic of my own that i have took myself.


I have looked at some pictures of drives that are meant to tell you what drive you have, but i cant make any sense of them. Can someone help me plz?

from my reading if you are going to play on xbox live you cant use mod chip becaseu you will be detected and banned, but the firmware flash has not been detected and no bans for anyoen that has flashed their system.

I was worried about flashing the firmware so i was going to do the chip....but flashing the firmware is really easy....go for it!

Sorry guys, another problem :( I dont know about sata's, pci's or anything. I know the basics of a PC (RAM, HD, proccessors etc.) but i know nothing about this. Sorry gonna need alot of help, lol.

basically the second link takes you in to the tuts section these tuts are great there are video ones and text ones on opening your 360 flashing etc and even what to buy the site is great just like this one

Hey guys, im planning on hacking my 360, i wanted to know if i need the modchip or do i would it do the same if i hack the firmware, i read that the only differece is that with the firmware u can get on live....thanks for ur help
