ok i been away from the psp scene for aa while as mine broke. i just got myself a new one with firmware 2.60 and non t082 motherboard, so i was wanderin can i downgrade without gta as i just been my local video shop an they hav stopped renting out handheld games. and i dont wanna pay the silly prices ppl are charging on ebay.

ok thx, can u reccomend sumwere to get the 2.71 update as ive downloaded a few an they all show as corrupt data, and yes i renamed it an put it in update folder but still no joy.
thx.

edit: all i can find is the firmware 2.71 for usa and japan, any1 know were can get the eu version, think that could be my problem

1. Upgrade PSP to 2.71 using the Firmware (from PSP-hacks.com) http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/525

2. Use the 2.71--->1.5 downgrade (Also found on PSP-hacks.com) http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/752

3. Used HEXITNOW's Winstaller (found stickied at the top of this forum) to bring you from 1.5 ----->3.03OE

@shauntay pl zhelp i got the same psp prob and can u plz tell me how u fixed ur prob with ur 2.6 psp?

cuz all the 2.71 upgrade i can find requires a t-082 motherboard

ok ill try my best here is wht i did which worked gr8.

1. goto psp hacks and get the official 2.71 update
2. make a folder in your GAME folder on the mem stick called UPDATE(all caps)
3. put the 2.71 eboot in that update folder(do not rename the eboot thats what gave me a problem as sum1 told me too)
4. on your psp goto game an the update shud appear hit x and it shud start updating.
5. get the 2.71 downgrader and your set to go.
