Im looking through the forums and all I can see is threads about homebrew and iso loaders and stuff like that. Now im not saying that every user that wants to back up games is a pirate but in my opinion most people who want to install these iso loaders just don?t want to pay for a game.
Now my point is this..........
I know that allot of people like to collect games vie got loads of friends that have got a whole shelf full of PS2 games and I think to myself what a waste of money. Everytime you buy a game it starts to lose value there for what?s the point in stock piling them? When I buy a game or 2 I play them until I complete them and then I sell them or trade them in for a new game. Point is I never pay more than £10 for a new game.
So what is the big problem maybe ul spend £20 every 1 or 2 months on games why try to get them for free unless ur a school kid with no money?

Not that I am a pirate... games seem to be WAY overpriced. Probably why people do pirate them. Also, I'm a highschool student AND a college student.
Doesnt expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected and therefore mean youre expecting the expected which was the unexpected until you expected it?

Well all I can say to this thread is because people can save so much from homebrew etc. Just this idea alone is a good enough reason to do this.
Eg Someone who buys say 15 games. Which IMO is not alot but calculate it up its enough for a PS3.
Then compare this to people who do piracy which basicly mean they pay like $1 a disk. So they got the games which may not be official but it works and they got a PS3, I mean who wouldn't do that?

i really don't like seeing threads like this on sites. its like a religious topic to me. Almost as bad as asking if corporal punishment should be allowed in schools (red bottoms FTW!!!) or if we need stricter gun control laws (ban guns = police state).
see....piracy is bad. its so bad its evil.
just don't do it.

I am a pirate.. I love it.. I look at it like this and maybe Im wrong... We,the public are screwed everytime you buy anything... Price is not determined by the value of the item, but the demand for it... Its half ass backward.... If I have access, being I pay for internet access, I pay for a PC,I pay for blank dvd's and cd's, then guess what, I will not pay for movies, music or games... When I can easily get it at the touch of my finger tips..... I dont know how the government works overseas, but here in the US... Its all about money.. The MPA,RIAA, and blah blah can give a crap less about the artist, musician and game designers and developers, they just want their cut on the taxes made off it... I already pay my taxes every year.... So like 100,000 million others in the US, we have paid our dues, if I want to sit at home and download every game known to man, that I WILL.... I have no moral disagreement on that paticular subject.. Like someone already said... To each its own.... You honestly think your doing a good deed by buying all your games and software and music, because stupid comercials on tv, say " would you steal a car?" well if a car was sitting in my front yard for more than 3 days, that biotch is mine........
PS you think Bill Gate honestly made Microsoft on his own..haha... He stole it from his roomate.... Hows that for piracy.....

i can't comment on the pirating stuff but i will comment on why people collect games.
i have never traded in or sold a game in my life. if you buy a game for $50, the store gives you $20 for it in trade, and you pay the extra $30 for a new one off the shelf, what are you left with? you are left with one game that cost you $80 bucks. the more you keep trading them in the more you dig yourself into a whole. before you know it you will have one game in hand and $1000 down the drain.
