Did you find a solution for this problem? I have the same problem on Black Hawk Down as well as Once upon a time in China and more

do not use the dvd video, but make a dvd udf/iso compilation: udf 1.02, physiacal partition, try it first on a dvd-/+RW

I was sucessfull, but I used a different method. Smart Ripper- chapters only that will fit on a DVD and ofcourse ifoedit to VTS then play it to assure it works, then do the reat of the chapters with Smart Ripper- then I renumber the vbo;s to 1,2,3,4 etc if they were numbers eg 4,5 6 and 7. I would VTS again on 2nd DVD then play it from IFOedit then Burn both with Nero Burn. Works everytime now with all movies.

I am having the same difficulty with Nero 5.5 and IFOedit. What I do not understand are the steps described by vlozupone? What I have been experiencing is that when I use IfoEdit to Split-to-2-DVD-Rs, Disc 2 burns without incident but Disc one always has file allocation errors in Nero. I am looking for a reliable method that works. Can anyone help?

I just thought you would like to know that I found a solution to the File reallocation error on Doom9. It has to do with IFOEdit. All you have to do is change a number on in the Main Movie's VTS_0X_0.IFO. This link will explain it better.
