Antone tried black bottom CD's like ps discs, for audio and data?

Used a fair few Traxdata Ones (manufactured by Prodisc), not bad, it's basically a Phthalocyanine dye CD-R. Dunno how they manage to make them black on the bottom though :) . Had some batch issues with them aswell , C2 errors on the outer side of some batches, all bought from SVP in the UK.

Have used PNY Black Diamond discs for audio. Average quality. The black surface scratches very easily - even though they claim to have "scratch resistant" coating. So if you're the type of person who doesn't take great care, then these discs aren't for you.
