Greetings, i recently received a slim ps2 v12 with disc read error. First time i received it I opened it up and and did a tape mod cause I knew I was going to purchase a new laser and swap magic disc. After the tape mod the disc spun and everything was fine. I purchased a PVR-802W with the whole drive assembly off ebay off a seller with many positive feedback. When I installed the new laser assembly the disc would not spin. I read all many threads on this forum and googled the subject but still no answer. I made sure the sensors were pushed down, and the anti-static point was removed prior to shipping. I even tired to switch the new laser into the old assembly but its not compatible. Any pointers or procedures i should try? anything i should check for or might have missed? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
