OK, first attempts at this and I am getting very frustrated!! I have read the forums, educated myself to the best of my grey matters ability and still have problems that are not mentioned on these forums.

I have now backed up 5 of my games using mainly Schtrom & XBC & Imageburn and they all have the same symptoms. The games burn to 100%, they verify against the image, they pass stealth checks, they boot up on my 360 and when we get to the first loading screen prior to gameplay they freeze. I have other purchased backups that work fine so what am I doing wrong.

I have a 360 with 4.2a firmware and sammy drive
Samsung SH-D162C with Kreon 0.81 used externally via usb with my
Acer notebook with LG GSA-4082N DVD DL writer for burning.
I use Verbatim x2.4 DL media

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

try upgrading the firmware on your 360 and try using xbox backup creator

I'd upgrade to Xtreme 5.2a and burn those Verbatims at 4x if I were you.

I have used Xbox back up creator (XBC), I think my firmware may actually be 5.2a how do I check? I doubt the firmware is the problem as I already use back ups of old and new games on the console and they are fine.

Why does burning at a higher speed likely to remove the freezing problem, is the higher speed less likely to cause burn issues?

Id upgrade the f/w before u reburn the games at 4x, i have a few copies ive burned at 2.4x and they work just as good as 4x copy.

And I have 2.4's which work just as good as some 4x's on MY 360... but cause an open tray error on another ms25 I flashed. The 4x's work perfect on that one. So now I burn everything at 4x. It's a win-win... the burns play perfect and I cut the burning time by 20 minutes.

Burn one at 4x.
