I recently bought a Gameshark 2 V2 to play my backup games but when i put in the disc, the ps2 comes up with a screen that says "Please insert a playstation or Playstation 2 disc". I've read that this version has had problems in the fat ps2 and that you could use tape on the disc to fix the issue. I have the slim v14. Is there a fix to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

gameshark v2 works only on ps2 v1,2,3,4
