this is a weird question. I want to direct download a video but since i can only open it using their mirror servers it opens up in the download manager of Firefox. i want to be able to pause and start it up later if i have to but the download will cancel if i close Firefox. (the reason is irrelevant). I know that i can find the link of the file i download by looking at the properties in the download manager of Firefox. But the .avi file i want to download is set up differently. I use shareaza p2p to handle big direct download and flashget has too mush adware. Shareza will download if the file extension is similar to:

http://www.hotdownload.us/magic/MagicVideoStudio.exe

this extension allows my to download the .exe file seen above, etc. The .avi file i want has an extension but when i have shareaza start download it, it appears as dl.php and the download doesn't work. anyone know how to get around this or am i just crazy?
