Ulead DVD Workshop - 'Cannot Create File'

I have been going through my old VHS tapes and converting some of them to DVD. (I'm currently doing a couple of old 'Peanuts' movies) I'm using DVD Workshop to put them onto DVD as it has a really flexible menu-creating feature. I have used Ulead Video Studio to capture the video from my VCR to DVD-compliany MPG format.

However, after finishing my project and going to 'Make Disc' I get a problem.
(I am trying to make a DVD directory on my hard drive first, to burn the files to DVD later)
The program goes through the first three stages (which are 'Verifying and converting titles', 'Verifying and converting audio' and 'Rendering menus') with no problem.
However, when it is about to go onto the final stage (creating the actual VOB files) it stops, giving me the message 'Cannot create file'.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? There is plenty of space free on my hard drive for the files (about 4 times what is needed) so all i can think of is that somehow the MPG files are not compatible, even though i created them with the 'DVD' option on Video Studio and this has worked for me in the past - i have made previous DVDs from VHS tapes in the same way with no problems.

I'm going to try using DVD Workshop to create an ISO file, see if it works that way, if anyone can give suggestions/reasons why i'm having this problem please post
