Winhiip games won't load

I have a matrix infinity mod chip in my ps2 and I have hdloader 0.8b on the hd in dev2 mode. It works fine, I can copy games over to the hard drive and play them. However, when I put the hard drive in my pc and use winhiip (version 1.7.6) to transfer games over they don't work. Example, when I copy GTA San Andreas to the ps2 hd by sticking the disk in the ps2 it plays just fine. If I transfer GTA San Andreas onto the hd with winhiip, it will show up on the list in hdloader but I get a black screen when I try to play it. What's up with that?
