Xbox360 Drive Flashing Troubles

I am trying to flash my Xbox360, the drive is a Samsung ms28. After a while of looking the only way I have found to fix my problem is by the use of a VIA PCI SATA Controller, I do not have one of these. The motherboard im using is a EVGA 680i using the nvidia 680i chipset. The bios sees the drive just fine but mtkflash seems to have large problems with this chipset. Does anyone know of a way to hex edit mtkflash or any knowledge of any workarounds for this chipset. thankyou.
