k listen, i bought a god of war 2 copy for 20$ but it doesn't work. i have a slim ps2 and i got it modded in last october. is that so long ago that my ps2's chip is so outdated that it can't read the game? plz help sum1!!!

Listen, if u have a Version 12 model number
SCPH-70011 CB (for North America)
SCPH-70012 CB (for United States)
SCPH-70002 CB (for Oceania)
SCPH-70003 CB (for UK)
SCPH-70004 CB (for Europe)
SCPH-70000 CB (for Japan)
then yes those PS2 laser dies fast because of a hardware issue that SONY didnt relize and fix in the later versions. If u did have a V12 then u will need a new laser bout 30$ and a laser fix to prevent it from happening again. or laser pot tweak it (this is hard google for more info)

2)if not you might have been using cheap blank DVDs thats not good for the laser. cheap disk is usually a brand name u dont hear too often and some disk like memorex, tdk...although there are some good ones. You will need a new laser or laser pot tweak it (this is hard google for more info)

Ive had a modded PStwo slim from the time they came out V13 and still have no problem with it.
