Simply use an schuko to uk plug adapter. For instance:

A shaver plug adapter is not so good because the fuse is too weak.

I was told by a fella from a tv/video repair shop that the shavers ones arent strong enough.

anyhow Ive cut the end off and added a 3 pronged plug and its workin brilliant.

Cheers everyone, much appreciated.

The shaver plug adapters have a 1amp fuse and the box can consume up to 1.25amp at power up. Thats not a good combination.

Because you are using standby and never unplug the box.
If you unplug and replug the box several times you get a good chance to blow the fuse.

As i said, Ive cut off the end and added a 3 pronged plug and I put in a 3amp fuse, to be honest I just checked what fuse was in my ntl box and copied that.

seems to be working no problem.
