hi

i have my starveiw box downstairs and have fed a line from the output part of the box downstairs to the back of my tv upstairs... as a result i can watch whatever is on downstairs but must go down stairs to change channel...

fekker i was wondering if ethier of these will enable me to change channel using the remote i got now but changing channel upstairs... like the s*Y eye

They will work but send audio/video as well (not very well). You would be better just getting the remote extender, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marmitek-PowerMi...74321295&sr=8-1

the only prob is if it does not work for the starveiw box i am worried about sending it back... with argos i could just send it back... does the one from amazon def work

how does the one from amazon work? do you plug one in the starveiw box and one upstairs??

My understanding of the way these things work is : You place one of the units within sight/range of you starview box and the other one in the room that you wish to control it from. When they are both plugged in and turned on, if you point your starview remote at the box in your room it will convert the infared signal from your remote into a radio signal and send this to the box downstairs which will convert it back to infared and fire it at your starview box.
To summarise, If you want to change channel you point you remote at the upstairs box and the downstairs box will send that signal to your starview box and change the channel.

Someone else might explain it better.

just buy another starview box with the money you have saved plus you can watch sports in peace will the other half whatches some crap downstairs
