HELP cannot burn 360 games with NEC 3530A burner

I know my nec 3530a burner can write Dl media i had a look at the specs online but ive wasted 5 cds with no success. The blanks i use are ok a friend of mine used the same ones without any glitches but for some reason the burn process keeps failing after %20 in with image burn and after %30 with clonecd. Ive even set the layerbreak manually but again no luck. Any help with be greatly appreciated.

what media is it? and try xbox backup creator, some media cant be burned on some burners

Sorry i forgot to mention but im trying to backup 360 games i have successfully riped a game. Ive just tried xbc to burn the game but nope another wasted blank. I noticed in xbc in the write tab it says something like be sure to set your drive to booktype dvd-rom if using older fw. I checked with Nero and the fw is 2.01. Im a bit of a noob so i have no idea what booktype means or how to install new fw

what kind of dual layer dvd media is it? what brand??? and just open xbox backup creator and click write then start and open the .dvd file you need and you dont have to worry about anything else

I'm using these discs http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=202 i've read some of the reviews there and alot of people had problems with them. What discs would you say are the best for 360 games?

Wow there a bit pricey i found them on ebay 20 for £35 or $68. Oh well i suppose if you want the best you have to pay more. Thanks for your help anyway.
