Well it looks like you have a DVD Burner on your system, but lets be sure about what you have in the way of drive and blank DVD media.
Download and install this program DVDidentifier this will tell us what drive and type of discs you are using.
Also what is the format of the file you currently have on your computer that you want to make a DVD? In other words what is the extension at the end of the file. Example Video.AVI the extension falls right after the "." the last three letters.

Goto DVD tools
Look for DVDIDENTIFIER ( it's on the 1st pg) and download that. (it's Free)

First off your drives firmware is out of date 1.70 there is a newer version available here v1.90
Also this is an older drive and only supports +R media are you trying to burn to -R DVD's Quote: My DVDS are DVD-R 4.7GB 1-8x
It seems that you are?
I'm sorry I may have mis spoke, but I am having a hard time finding any info on that drive to be sure what formats it supports. It however dosen't get very good reviews do a google ;-(

To be perfectly honest you would be better off to just purchase a newer drive. You will save more money over time instead of buying RW media also with RW media you will have more issues as to what those disc's will actually play on. You can get a decent DVDRW drive that will support all formats for under $30 all over the Internet. In short the regular single layer R + or - DVDs will be much more compatible and cost a fraction of what you would pay for RW media.
