Shrinking AVI Files with DVDShrink & Nero Vision Express

I have several episodes of 24, each are 350MB AVI files. When I go to put them on a DVD only 2 shows will fit. Basically, I use Nero Vision Express 3 -->Add Video files and then it takes up the entire disc.

I'm familar with DVD Shrink so I'm curious, how can I compress these files so more that 2 AVI files will fit on a standard 4.4 GB disc? Should I create an image, if so how do I shrink the image with Shrink or is there another way?

You can have Nero Vision save them to a hard drive folder instead of burning to disc.

You can then open those files in Shrink or Recode to compress and burn to the disc.

The quality may be worse by adding more than 2 then compressing.
