My wifes Razr, a V3G(?) per the label on back, will not stay connected to any bluetooth headset. I've tried a Motorola H500 and her new Plantronics Voyager 510. The connection will get static and then drop although the phone is within a foot of the headset. Connection time can last from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, but it will drop. A cell call without headset never drops out. Being a retired radio engineer, I know of interference issues. That said, I have tested this extensively at home where I can duplicate the problem. My wireless network and 2.4 Ghz cordless phones seem to have no ill effects on my problem. With both systems ( phones and wireless inet )on or off, it doesn't matter. I have disassembled the phone and checked for connection issues with the antennaes and connectors. The problem still persists. Is this something a firmware upgrade/downgrade can fix ? (Bootloader 08.23 - SW version R374_G_0E.40.9ER). Or is time for a new phone? This ones over 2 years old. Sorry for being so lengthy. Thanks in advance.
