SP2 problems HELP!!!

a couple of days ago i had bought a new computer with windows xp service pack 1 (this i had got from a friend because he upgraded to vista). i didnt realise this at first but after trying to do updates on the computer i saw i had service pack 1, and because of this i cant update programs such as media player and windows explorer to the latest versions.
i tried downloading but i kept getting messages such as:
cant download because the language is different or something like that. my computer is in hebrew and so i was wondering if there was a service pack to fit with hebrew and if so where can i download it
