I am trying to create a dvd for my boyfriend´s birthday featuring clips of his favorite football club. I know I have to encode some clips, but that is not a problem, as I have found out how to do this with a bit of research. My main problem is getting Movie Maker to except some of the encoded files. When I encode without audio, I receive the message that the file is empty. When I encode with audio, I get great sound but no visual. It is driving me insane. I can´t afford to put top-of-the-line software on so I have to work with what I have. I need help jumping this hurdle. I have the rest in hand, but I need these files to complete my project.

u may want to try another editing program like CyberLink PowerDirector they have some free downoads on their site

also you may want to convert the files to another format and then encode them
