I recently purchased an import title that I discovered is DVD 9. I believe that Swapmagic wont boot DVD9 backups but I was wondering will it boot DVD9 imports and if not is there any way to boot DVD9 imports?

No it wont be able to boot import dvd-9's.
And you really have to look up on the net about the game you are talking about because you will have to rebuild the game to DVD-5.

Check up how to rebuild ps2 games etc.

Swap magic should boot your game if it can bebuilt, but cannot know for sure unless you try it.
