major issue with sd loader

so I got my sd loader, did all the required stuff the other day and burnt a game off and happily got it playing using the guide.

turn on GC today and try it and sd has problems finding the memory card itself and when it does and i load up the .dol file it just goes to a black screen and nothing. Can't even reset the GC. Whats the prob?
