sorry for twice-posting but i think the first post was posted in the wrong forum.


well..

it is god of war 2.

my playstation(2) reads only DVD-R disks, and as u know GOW II needs DL medias which are provided only as DVD+R.

so is there any way to make the game run on my chipped ps2 without ripping the game?

-i have matrix infinity modchip-

and.. why the ____ my playstation doesn't run DVD+R disks??


please help !!

this link shows how to rip the game. i asked for a way "without ripping the game".

after ripping i'll lose some "parts" of the game right?

so i want to play it on DL

any solutions?

i haven't seen any "parts" lost yet. no one has ever complained about it either...
anyways, the chip firmware upgrade might do it, but then again, it might be more reliant on your ps2's dvd drive's firmware. my friend had 1.1 and couldn't get dvd+r backups working.
so just rip it. although it sucks you can't get dl working. that's more $ony's fault...

that's what i did. i got the dvd5 version from a newsgroup since i was sure i would just end up wasting a few dvd-r's if i did it myself [thinks about darkstalkers collection and neogeo battle colliseum...].
