Try for a plug-in called AC3ACM it should work as it is designed to do this job. You can find it if you open the VirtualDub-MPEG2 homepage. I don't remember the link find it at the tools pages of http://www.dvdrhelp.com

You can find your audio options by going into the Streams menu and clicking on stream list.

Thanks for the help,
Now for the next question
The sound for my Videos is very quiet, I have been poking around in the programs but I have not found a way to increase the sound volume level.

I also had the same problem. Assuming you have tried all of the usual stuff like system volume on the OS then another way is to go into the AC3 filter configuration, try Program Files--> AC3 filter --> AC3 filter config. On the first window there should be a section of the configuration labelled "Gains", from here you can increase the "Master Gain" and also the gain for the individual sound channels.

Try this.

I know almost nothing about digital surround sound or whatever you call it, but I believe i read somewhere that you should rip the soundtrack that most resembles your speaker/sound system. For example if you have speakers that were made to output 5.1 surround sound then you should decode ac3(6 channel) audio. If your using something that can only output two channels of sound then you should use ac3(2 channel).

Of course I may be wrong about this whole thing... :-)

Hi Powerdup,
--- You can find your audio options by going into the Streams menu and clicking on stream list. ---

Could you please guide step by step to use
the new VirtualDubMod v1.5.1.1a which nolonger had the Audio option. You said it in the
"stream" but there're a lot of option after that and how to replace the old manual of the
old VirtualDubMod instruct at the bottom of the manual.
Thanks,
Tony

Hmmm...I guess they still havent upgraded the guide.

Heres a great guide that explains how to use virtualdubmod properly:

http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/vdubmod-procedures.htm

Quick answer:

Get into the streams menu and click on stream list. You will get into a window where you can add your soundtrack.

Click ADD and choose the audio file you wish to mux with the movie.

Click OK.

There you go, now just choose your desired codec and settings and encode.
