I think the HD-DVD add-on uses the usb. Also, the dance pad for DDR and the guitar for GH2 I believe. You also might be able to view pictures off of digital camera, I'll test it out and let you know.
i am almost positive that if you convert your video files to .wma format, i think the 360 will play them. that is the only thing, 360 doesn't recognize DivX and all that shit, but it does recognize .wma files.

You can stream your .wma videos from your PC, but you can't play them form an external Hard Drive.
