i get my ipod back real soon and before i even get my hopes up will the ps2 recognize the ipod as in using it to hold elf files and the such. and if it does will and hdd launching program read it as an hdd? info on bottom

can format differently if needed but i need certain intructions cause i tried to format many drives and only ntfs successfully finishes

As far as I know you need have a FAT 32 based USB DEVICE for it to be recognized by your PS2(Via uLaunchELF ,SMS player)

Yes as long as you have a USB STORAGE DEVICE in FAT 32 format it will WORK JUST FINE!
But HDAdvance and HDLoader will NOT RECOGNISE IT.
USBAdvance and USBExtreme will RECOGNISE IT.
