I have a PS2 console and have been playing a PS1 game on it, when I go to save my game, I use a PS1 memory card. Im told the memory card is able to save PS1 games on the PS2 console. The console seems to be reading the card just fine, but when it actually comes to saving my game it isnt saving it. Does anyone know what the problem might be or how i might be able to fix something like this? Im really mad because I bought the game thinking the PS2 could save PS1 games using PS1 memory cards, is this false information maybe?

Your ps1 memorycard could be broken in someway internally.
Im sure the ps2 uses ps1 mem cards for psx games. But its been years since Ive played a ps1 game and used or owned a ps1 memory card anymore. You can try using another ps1 card and see if that works

I tried other PS1 cards, They were brand new in a pack of 3, none of them work. Maybe it's the brand?? But when I bought them I was told they should work so I dont know.

Also, is there anyway it could be a malfunction in the game? The only PS1 games I have are Resident Evil and Resident Evil 3. It doesnt work on either but they are both produced by capcom, could that potentially be a reason?

If your Memory card is by a company called... oh crap... PELICAN! That's it... yeah... Pelican Memory cards never work in my PS2. Try another Brand. If you can find the official Card... they SHOULD work.

Heh... let's do this...
