If it was mine I would update to 2.71fw then downgrade to 1.5fw using easy 2.71 downgrader then use 3.03 OE-C winstaller. Simple really ;)

Read this post very carefully and make sure you have the correct downgrader for your new PSP. This is instructions for a TA-082 mobo from touran22. When you have 1.5fw you might want to thank him for his tute.

Alternatively you could try searching this forum as there are loads of info on downgrading TA-082 mobo's to 1.5fw.

the 2.71 TA-082 Downgrader is only meant for PSP's that came out of the box 2.71. I recommend the 3.03 Noobz Downgrader, it will patch your board for you if its a 1C003 mobo...You'll need the unpatched version of GTA: LCS to do that though.

insert a umd on the drive, or enabled 'no use umd' on the recovery menu but some games don't work so better if u have umd inserted when ur metal gear,,,or you got a bad iso/cso file,,try download another metal gear,

mine works fine(metal gear solid portable ops) and it is in cso 818mb im in 3.03oe-c

i just loggd in after 2 months,,,im here again and ready to help and be helped!!

some games are running slower than usual if it is ripped(meaning edited and remove some things so it will have lesser memory usage) like full game is 1.5gig and ripped it it about 400mb

if your game runs slower put it on 333 but your battery life will be less than usual

after you play games don't forget to put it back to 333 or let still 333

whatever you want,,,

the psp i received was not 2.6fw ta-082, it is 2.71fw ta-082, i don't know if you update it from 2.6 to 2.71 will be the same as the factory one....maybe some pros can fill you in on that...according to other guides i have read, it works very well....but don't just listen to me along

Hi, need a little help.
1. Just got a new PSP. In the game selection, it says version 2.6. However, in the setting, it says version 2.81? So what is the real version?
2. If I want to play homebrew games, what is the best software I should download?
3. Do I have to downgrade my PSP in order to play the homebrew games or can I stay with the current version?

Thank you very much

Replied to your thread.

Would be a good idea to read the forum rules also as posting the same question repeatedly is frowned upon.
