I found a method of un bricking a psp by jumping the connections between the usb port and the internal flash memory, this to me seems like it could be done...
The site says this...
"This involves opening the psp. you have to jump the usb port right to the internal flash of the psp. It will access the flash drive then you must break down the pbp update and put it back into the flash. When you are finshed with that you will have to remove the jumper so you do not access the flash everytime you plug in your psp through usb. Your psp will have whatever firmware version you choose."
Does anybody out there have instructions on how to do this ( a diagram would be awsome ).
If you dont know how or have never heard of this method then PLEASE re-post this wherever you can so WE can find out how , im sure there is someone who knows how to do this...probably all those guys buying up bricked psp's on ebay!
Spread the word, it seems simple enough as i dont think this involves soldering ( im a noob tho, so what do i know)
....Oh and if you find out how, , , tell me, so i can fix my friends psp that i bricked.

instead of posting a bunch of links, how about you tell us what firmware you are running?...if you have OE-C or 3.10 OE-A, then all you have to do is go to:
recovery>>run recovery @ psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp...
or find someones backup flash0 files for what ever cfw you have...

do you think i would be trying to do this the longest way possible if i didnt have a full brick on my hands, its irrelevant what firmware was running. (3.03 oe-c) ITS A FULL BRICK! and no, not even the memory card is being accessed, no back light or ANYTHING (except the power light coming on for 15ish secs), i know all about the recovery menu and use it all the time on my psp for plugins etc, i guess you cant help. Cheers for the condecending mesage tho.

Reported! You need to relax in here man. By joining this site you agreed to a certain set of rules. You clearly broke those rules. In my opinion, you were informed by another member that triple posting is agaisnt forum rules and were givin direction that you should edit your posts instead of multi posting.
I find it funny that you come here and insult those that are willing to help. If we were not here at all, there would not be any help for anyone. Either change your attitude or don't come back here and ask for help. We do this on our free time to help others. If you cant appreciate that then you dont deserve to be helped.

ahh , very clever, i had a hunch but figured "shit these guys are smart bet he can see my computer," so i shoved on all my firewalls lol, yeah man im from the uk , but as far as thats concerned im not too proud to say it, we're just as bad with all the war shit.
Sorry i got all pissed of, its just i fell out with my best friend/house mate after bricking his sisters little brothers psp tring to downgrade it, its a FULL brick and its really affected me man, im really upset to be honest, and the last thing i needed was someone condecending me, i apoligise for my actions, im just upset that this frikin psp cost me a friendship. peace, louie
