How to disable no-umd on 3.10 OE-A2?

"Hmm I cant get this or Test Drive Unlimited to work on my 3.10 OE-A2. I just get a frozen black screen in both games -_-." This is regarding towards Gurumin and is a post I made on PS3nfo.com.

The reply was this:
"Disable no-umd. put a game umd in drive."

How do I go about doing that? Thanks all!

go to the recovery menu (and no dont ask how, its not hard to search it) and it should be an option somewhere in there to disable no-umd. enabling it allows you to play a game without a umd, but most games don't work. then once uve disabled that, put in a umd
