What is the difference between ISO and CSO?

What is the difference between ISO and CSO? Which one is best to use?

ISO = Direct Image copy of the UMD disc.
CSO = Compressed version of an ISO.

CSO's save space but can render a game unplayable if compressed to much. If you have a CSO that wont play, try it at different compression levels. You may find the only way to play a certain game is by ISO only.

hey there. i downloaded Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops the other day, and since it was a torrent file, i had to use those torrent downloader things. anyway, when i opened the folder, it had lots of files. and example of one filename is a-mgsops.001 or something like that.. how do i make it playable on my psp? :(

just right click one of the files and select extract here.

it isnt a .zip or a .rar file.. and when i right click it, there isnt any extraction option..

that kind of file should be a .rar

make sure its set to open with WinRAR in the file properties. also make sure you have WinRAR downloaded on your computer.

it's waaaay.. i have WinRAR and it still doesnt want.. i'll just download the full iso instead. xD

ya then it may be the actual ISO broken into several pieces. You'd need a third party program to piece it back together.

in one of the files right click, open with, choose WinRAR in the program list ,WinRAR will open then click extract
